I have always been a big fan of the American clean tone. I have nearly always exclusively used Fender amps and used pedals for everything gainy. If you follow my posts you will know the types of pedals that I use and the ones I like. The Marshall amps have never been a big draw for me, but they of course have their place, and do sound amazing.
The EP booster is based on an echo machine pre amp the EP-3, the chosen pre amp for many legendary guitarists. It has an FET design and a low impedance output providing up to 20 db of boost to your signal.
We have used this pedal in 2 ways. Initially at the end of the signal chain, using it almost as a buffer to boost the signal going back into the amp. When working like this it allows you to eliminate any signal lost, and gives a great clean sound when going into the amp, making it nice and punchy.
